Design Poem #10
To a web page funeral
Two digital designers go
They’re wearing dark t-shirts
And black-rimmed sun-shades
It’s a dreary winter evening
Past the midnight train
Sadly when they arrive
All the files are long gone
The style sheets are no more
And their accounts are locked
The two sad web designers
Are depressed to the core
But hello says bright sunshine
The spring has just arrived
Take a pause my good friends
And enjoy a glass of wine
And if it pleases you well
Get a ride back to Portland
Don’t you cry my creatives
A new app will be made
With fresh colors and assets
And a new shiny tech
You can charge by the hour
Since this product shall sell
All business managers
Are busy planning ahead
All schedules are ready
And the swim lanes are fed
All dev teams are ignited
Excitement is in the air
My dear product designers
This is a bright new day
The next thing is now happening
Polish up the instruments
Brace yourself for this future
Smile and turn the page
